What The Notice Board is

The Notice Board is a board, not a parish. Between roughly 2004 and 2015 this domain carried the website of St John's Episcopal Church in Aberdeen, a Scottish Episcopal congregation in the city centre. Its pages posted sermons, published rotas, advertised the church magazine, announced the week's events, and described a building that opened its doors to more than its own congregation.

What a pin is

Each entry here takes one part of that record and pins it like a slip on the board: a dated sermon filed under its Sunday, a rota kept with its names, an issue of the magazine, a hall letted out for the week. The slips are ordered by where they would have hung on the board, not by importance.

What the record shows and does not

The public capture record kept the site's sermon posts, its static pages of 2004, its community notices and its worship times. It did not keep the parish registers, the membership lists, or what the congregation did after 2015. Where the record is silent, the slip says so.

What this site is not

This is not the church's website and not a congregation's bulletin. Nothing here is a service time to attend, a hall to book, or a parish to contact. Names and dates are quoted as historical record; the photographs on this board are illustrations, not the church's own pictures.
